A client saw Enraptured (Jade) and quite liked the jade with the 14k gold-plated earring hooks.

However, she wanted a more modern twist to the piece and she also preferred a pair of chandelier earrings.

The result is what you see on the left. The earrings hooks are 14k gold-plated and the hoops are simple steel hoops wrapped around with brass.

To anchor the whole look, I used peach freshwater pearls as a nice contrast to the gold and jade.

To create the volume plus sway, gold threads were used instead of wires.  This also ensures that the earrings are not too heavy.

I felt that having jade alone was too green and therefore added a few moonstone chips to break up the green.

I received another customisation order and the client wanted a necklace for his girlfriend.

He, being a guy, had no clue about how he wanted the necklace to look like.

He only told me that it must have butterflies. It was only after a little more probing that I found out that she likes purple and that her taste in jewellery tends to be more simple and easy to match.

I made this for a colleague as a Christmas present. She doesn't wear earrings or necklaces, so the natural choice was a bracelet. Her favourite colour is red, so it was important to me to incorporate that into the design.

A great input from her was that she only likes chunky bracelets or bangles. So creating this chunky bracelet from metal chains, ribbons and a thinner chain with faux pearl was perfect for such a request.

What I love about this design is that it is simple but bold enough to require a certain type of personality to pull it off. That said, it still retains some feminity to it and I think it really represents my colleague's character very well. Feminine, bold and daring.

Merry Christmas!!!
