What currency are the prices in?

All prices are stated in Singapore dollars (SGD).


Do you ship internationally?

Yes we do! Simply choose the option named "Outside Singapore" when adding items into your cart.

Do note that it will be in SGD and subject to Paypal's exchange rate of the day.


How much is postage?

For Singapore addresses, the postage is already included in the price.


For international addresses, we charge a postage and handling fee of SGD 3 per item.


When will I get my items?

We send out all items within 24 hours and shipment depends on each individual country.


How do you send out your products? What if the mail gets lost?

We use standard Singapore Post for all our shipment.

We are not responsible if anything gets lost in mail.

If you would like to register your products, kindly indicate that in the comments column upon purchase and we'll be sending you another invoice for SGD 2.50 (within Singapore)or SGD 10 (other countries) to register the mail.


How do I know that my purchases have gone through?

You will be getting an invoice from Paypal as well as an acknowledgement email from us that we have sent your item.


How do we pay and is it safe?

We use Paypal for all our transactions and we accept all major credit cards - American Express, Visa and MasterCard.

Paypal uses SSL encryption, which ensures that your transactions are safe.


Why do you charge a standard charge for international shipping?

This makes our lives a lot easier because whether you purchase 1 item or many, we still require the same amount of work (wrapping etc) to package your pieces to ensure that they get to you in its best condition.


I don't have a credit card. Is there another payment method?

We do accept inter-bank transfer if you are a Singapore resident.


Do you have gift wrapping services?

Unfortunately, we are trying to work something out with our cart system plus materials cost at the moment.

Do look out for our special promos where we will throw in gift wrapping!


Do you refund?

We will review this on a case to case basis but generally speaking, we do not refund on any purchases.

If a hook/ link is loose, feel free to contact us and we will do repairs for you free of charge.

Nevertheless, postage from your residence to Oct1983 will have to be borne by you.


Do you do customised designs?

Yes we do! This is especially for our "GO GREEN" movement where we hope that new jewellery can be made from old stuff.

Do drop us an email with the picture of your old jewellery and state whether you would like to redesign it or just to donate it.


Do note that any extra materials used + workmanship fee will be chargeable.


If you have any design in mind, feel free to contact us at the above email address as well and we'll get back to you as soon as possible.


I would like to advertise. How do I do so?

Do drop us an email with your advertising budget and we'll get back to you on that.


Do you take consignment?

Do drop us an email with pictures of your hand crafted pieces if we think your designs suit the Oct 1983 style, we'll start discussing with you regarding commissions etc.

Don't worry. We will not copy your designs and we have a strict copyright policy for our designs as well.
